Basic Video Marketing Production

Video Marketing Camera

Okay today is Friday (did I just sound like Rebecca Black? LOL I certainly hope not!)

And while I know that most of you are already shutting your computers off and are most likely going to check this update until tomorrow…

I still know I promised you that I would be publishing something new today so I’m just going to do that, keep this article very short, sweet and straight to the point.

This is about Video Marketing.

Ever heard the phrase “an image is worth a thousand words”?

Well a video is worth even more than a thousand words and also…

  • Has more weight on the search engines
  • Captures your viewer’s attention quicker
  • Gives that feeling of “knowing you” in a very short time
  • Shows your own unique voice to your audience
  • Allows you to be instantly branded as an authority (if done correctly)
  • And many more benefits but let’s just stick with these for now

Many people are doing videos these days.

Almost everyone knows how to do a basic video with Screenflow or Camtasia, add some titles, maybe even throw in some music as intro/outro and voilá, you are doing great videos already!

So I spent some time studying how the pro’s do it and do you want to know why they can charge a lot for their products?

It is just not the content… They actually say the same things everyone else says!  Continue Reading →

Achieving Blog Commenting Stardom

Commenting RockstarOk I want to thank everyone who commented on the last post about my Social Media Blackout experiment.

It was really insightful to learn how you guys deal with productivity yourselves and how much stuff are you able to get done in just a few hours as long as you have the proper mindset and take massive action.

As a side note for this new update, I know I haven’t published anything here in the past two weeks.

Even if I tried to let you know everything I’ve done, you would probably end up complaining about the length of the article so I’m not going to do that.

Instead, I’m going to write some brief articles for the most relevant things that happened and we’ll take it from there in the upcoming days so let’s get this party started with blog commenting.

Blog Commenting

How blog commenting works, is you normally visit a site on a particular topic, read the article and if you have anything to say (hopefully something constructive at least) you’d leave a comment with a link back to your blog (assuming you do have a blog).

This establishes a communication channel between writer and reader and if you write an interesting comment, you’d normally expect an answer.

If the blog owner is smart enough, the blog will have a plugin to let you know that your comment has a reply so you can go back and check it out (and more visits to your site).  Continue Reading →

6 Hours Self-Imposed Social Media Blackout

Social Media BlackoutI just decided to make this little experiment today.

It consisted on turning off every social platform for six hours, starting at 7:00am up to 1:00pm

This included NOT checking twitter, facebook, e-mail or Skype, AT ALL and I also had my cellphone on
vibration mode.

The only thing I decided to digest as content was Gideon Shalwick’s video on How To Become Rich and Famous on YouTube (it’s more than one hour long btw)

I was passively listening to that while focusing on doing some other things since I didn’t want to lose one
whole hour, particularly not from this experiment.

So this is how it went, I woke up at 5:50am and then…

6:00am – 7:00am

  • Checked personal e-mails and then closed my e-mail inbox for good
  • Replied to comments on blog
  • Checked stats for yesterday’s visitors on Clicky

7:00am – 8:00am

  • Had breakfast
  • Logged in to a few Traffic Exchanges while I was still trying to wake myself up
  • Started playing with some text fonts on Adobe Fireworks
  • Started listening to Gideon Shalwick’s How To Become Rich and Famous on YouTube video
  • Closed all the browser tabs that I didn’t consider important  Continue Reading →

I Quit!

i quit troll faceA few of my (non-related to Marketing) friends have been asking me where have I been or what have I been doing lately.

And the answer is fairly simple, I have been working online.

However, a few of my Internet Marketing friends, have also asked this same question and the answer is, I have been trying to leverage my online activities.

The reason I decided to call this article I Quit is because I really hate to admit this but I have been wasting a lot of time lately and I can’t think of any other solution but to just quit doing certain tasks.

1. Do more of what brings results.

2. Do less of what wastes your time.

Sounds like a plan to me! Let’s dive into this a little bit deeper…

Do More of What Brings Results

Results can be different for many people.

To me, it means sales, conversions, higher EPCs, subscribers, new business connections, stronger relationships, etc.

If you were to focus on making money online, then you need to have an offer (product, service, etc)

If you have an offer, you need to know how to market that (video review, e-mail campaign, PPC, etc)

In order to market an offer, you need to have the resources for it (targeted and responsive e-mail list, partner relationships, traffic on your site, etc)

And in order to have the resources, you need either time or money.

Makes sense?  Continue Reading →

7 Tips To Connecting The Dots

SevenToday I want to connect a few dots for you because this is something that is driving me INSANE already.

My disclaimer is that even though I know first hand I won’t stop this nonsense myself, a little contribution won’t hurt anyone and if it benefits at least ONE person, then my job has been done here.

If you are still working on fail mode, meaning you’re not earning anything online, haven’t sold anything, haven’t produced anything and still wondering why you’re not making any money yet, then this is EXACTLY for you.

I spent my last week watching real freaking long videos and I’m not talking about 15 or 20 minute long videos, I’m talking about massive more than two hours suck my entire life kind of long videos, but I learnt a lot from them.

I’ll just give you the raw information with all the filler text trimmed out.

Let’s dive in!

1. You Can Make Money Without a Blog

I was watching the Underachiever videos (it was some marketing conference held 6 or 7 years ago in Australia) someone in the public asked a question that it seemed blatantly stupid for me, the question was something like this:

What should we put in our root domain as a page, maybe an “about me” page?

The answer was from Frank Kern and he said something like “yeah, you don’t need to actually put something there”.

Marc Milburn’s Online Wealth Blueprint

online wealth blueprint reviewOkay fellas, let’s start with our first Internet Marketing review for this 2012.

Since I created the Marketing With Sergio blog, I have been writing about overcoming fear of recording videos

Sharing some experiences about everyday life, writing reviews about the physical tools that I use and some other topics.

However, the absolute MAIN reason behind this blog is to learn how to make money online and to share that knowledge with YOU, right here.

Now with that out of the way, the training I’m currently enrolled in, is called the Online Wealth Blueprint and inside are the exact steps I’m taking towards becoming a successful Internet Marketer on this very 2012.

Meet the Online Wealth Blueprint Creator

Marc Milburn is our guy.

In case you don’t know who Marc Milburn is,  he’s a very successful Internet Marketer from the UK and has recently released the Online Wealth Blueprint Coaching Course to his list.

I got on Marc’s list after buying Fast Profits Formula and fell in love with his way of teaching and explaining things.

As I write this post, not much is known about the Online Wealth Blueprint course (yet) since Marc hasn’t really used any campaigns to promote it yet.

I got lucky enough to be on a recent webinar along with James Francis and Marc Milburn, where I heard all the details about the training and as part of my own commitment to succeed on 2012, I decided to invest on my self education and bought my entrance ticket.  Continue Reading →

Turn The Page

turn the page arrowHey, glad to see you around here again!

I’m really happy about all the positive feedback I received from the previous post on Digital Nomads and Minimalism

I enjoyed each and every one of the comments you guys wrote for me, thank you, you guys really rock!

About my DNA participation, I’d like to write a short bit from Sandy Halliday on the past comment thread…

“Nothing ventured, nothing gained”

I absolutely agree on this thought and I learned a lot from that past experience, I think I even put myself on at least Cody McKibben’s eyes so that is indeed a big gain alright!

But as we all know, the world keeps on turning and we must turn the page and get on with our journey (fail now, fail fast springs to mind)

There will always be more opportunities out there.

While Doing Business, Get Rejected… a LOT

So I was checking out these videos from Brendon Burchard and the Experts Academy today and in the end, there was this bonus video from Brian Tracy and he mentioned something about the 10% factor.

The 10% factor basically means that you can fail 9 out of 10 times and succeed at the tenth time.

Then he asked the audience, would you be willing to fail 9 times if you knew you were going to succeed at the 10th time?

The audience of course responded with a resonating YES!

Digital Nomads and Minimalism

Digital Nomads and MinimalismWhew, 2011 is gone at last.

I finally made it back home from my quick getaway to Mazatlan, Mexico and have all my batteries recharged for 2012.

Like I was mentioning in the past article Quick Tip to Keep Being Productive and Creative having these away moments from the routine, can help improving our creativity and the possibility to learn and try new things easier.

Here is a recap of what I did and learnt on this latest trip.

What is a Digital Nomad

Basically what this means is that you can be location independent or in other words, work from wherever you want.

Checking my inbox on a very early day while being in the middle of my vacation in Mazatlan, I noticed an e-mail from Thrilling Heroics.

Digital Nomad Academy Scholarship

digital nomad academy logo

It cointained information on getting a scholarship at Digital Nomad Academy valued at USD $1,500 and even though I literally had nothing but my Macbook and a Flipcam with me, I decided to give it a go and find out more about the offer.  Continue Reading →
