The Power Of Simplicity

the power of simplicity I’ve just read the whole Steve Job’s biography and wow, that man surely was something!

In the hundreds of written reviews from that book, you’ll see all kind of remarks going from crazy to genius.

In my book that’s okay because he WAS a little bit crazy but geniuses are not regular people. They are different after all and Steve was definitely not a regular guy.

The book is an excellent read but if you’re not really interested in the history of computers you may not like it as much as I did and it’s LONG too.

Okay I have a fun youtube marketing challenge for you today.

This is a competition brought to you by Tyrone Shum.

He happens to be a very knowledgeable guy in both video marketing and the outsourcing area as well.

But as this article is all about video marketing with Youtube let’s just focus on that part so without any further ado let’s get this started!

What is the 5 Minute Youtube Marketing Challenge?

It’s basically a non-official youtube video competition ran by Tyrone Shum with help from his video rising star friend Justin Teoh.

Going To Mazatlan, Mexico

Mazatlan Seashore Quick geographic and/or tourist mexican lesson for you guys!

I live in Culiacan, Sinaloa Mexico.

Culiacan is the capital city of Sinaloa and Mazatlan is a touristic city on Sinaloa as well.

And well I’m going to a quick mini trip vacation in Mazatlan for the weekend and I won’t be around until next Monday.

This is happening in two hours and I still haven’t even packed my things.

I’m NOT taking my laptop with me since I don’t intend to record any training videos while having a few coronas!

But I am taking a digital camera, a flipcam and a few other things in case I need to record something for you over there.

…see? I think about you! ;-)

Mazatlan is a quick two hour drive by car and a three long boring hour drive by bus from the city I currently live in, which as I told you before, is Culiacan.

We used to go there a lot before but somehow we just stopped going.

I believe sometimes the violence is pretty high but whenever we go, we normally try not stay too late on the streets, basically we go out for a bite at some restaurant, party for a while, then get some extra beers and head up for our hotel room and that’s it, at least for the night.

Getting a Mentor, Gurus and Flying Solo

Yoda Mentor Before I can tell you anything about mentors, gurus and flying solo analogies on your Internet Marketing experiences, I want to let you know a little bit of my background with Online Marketing, not much, just a tad.

First of all, I am still learning everything I can (do we ever stop?) and each day that goes by, does NOT goes by without me learning something new.

Whether is a new cool blog I find, a new strategy to apply, a new guru e-mail list to join… err, no, scratch that last one.

Whatever it is, I focus on not letting one single day go without learning something new.

Simple, right?

Getting Started Online

So fast forward, I started my Internet Marketing adventure a little bit more than one year ago.

I was normally flying solo or in other words, doing my own thing without any direct advice:

researching like crazy
hopping from program to program
joining a new thing every week
trying to understand “bizops” (business opportunities)
buying businesses in-a-box
thinking I was ‘networking’ by adding unknown people to Facebook
And a million more etc’s.

All sort of crazy stuff you can imagine.

Today is that special date of the year where you become older but wiser, have a moment of thoughts, get presents, hugs, have some cake, drinks, celebrate with your close ones and all that crazy cool stuff.
