At the Vegas Strip

What Happens In Vegas Stays In Vegas

Ever heard this saying before?

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas

Well I have and it’s not necessarily true since I got engaged in Las Vegas and now that I’m back in Mexico I remain engaged… wtf!

Apparently that would be a bad thing but on this occasion I think it’s fantastic.

So let’s roll up our sleeves and get to the core of what happened up there (or at least most of it).

Impossible To Tell You All About It

I took a lot of written and mental notes of the things that happened throughout this experience in Las Vegas and after realizing I have around 8 gb of recorded video and about 470+ pictures it’s just impossible for me to tell you all about it.

I thought I could just record a video summarizing the whole thing and I think I spoke about 1/5 of the things I did there and the video resulted in 34 minutes long so nobody is going to watch that either.

As I learned so many things, have so many ideas, so many videos, the only thing that comes to my mind are these points:

  • I can show you a few pictures about the experience
  • Tell you the three most important things I learned about this
  • Let you know where I’m going to now
  • Upload all the videos I think are cool enough (including the super long one I just recorded)
  • And let you know the power of writing things down

So let’s get it started!

The Three Most Important Things I Learned About This Trip

1. Identify your true inner self.

Everything else becomes easier once you understand who you are and who you want to become.

2. Don’t waste your energy trying to please everyone.

It’s okay to have people that support you and people that don’t.

3. Follow your gut.

I don’t know how to describe this one but whenever I feel I need to do something I just go for it and don’t question it.

I made a really decent amount of money in just a few minutes playing roulette and that was the first time I played in my entire life (then I lost it all due to greed lol but that’s another story)

Some books I brought to read in my spare time

Some recommended books I bought on Amazon

A Very Long Video

This video is a bit longer than half an hour.

I basically talk about how Vegas businesses always offer a very low price to get you hooked and then upsells you on stuff.

The video is long because I wanted to talk about a lot of things but it’s really conversational so it may not bore you to death (I hope lol).

Where I’m Headed Now

Success is not the amount of money you have put in your bank account through an information product.

Success is the stuff that makes you SMILE.

What makes you get out of bed early in the mornings.

Check out the above pictures again, I can’t possibly fake those smiles and do you want to know something funny?

I knew I was going to come back home with a LOT of debt.

I spent the whole week figuring out how to do stuff without my car because I couldn’t manage to turn the engine on (I fixed that yesterday) and now I’m making plans on how to pay everything and even better, how to move out of the house right on this month and have a wedding next year!

Do I look worried to you? Because I’m not.

I just know I have to play my cards right and everything will be fine.

So where the heck am I headed then?

To real successland and no, I don’t have a map for that, I just know where it is.

Videos & Photos From Las Vegas Trip

I shot a lot of videos, some are very funny, some are basic updates, some others is just me walking around in Vegas and some others are just things that I considered really cool stuff (strip, hotel rooms, bars, live concerts, etc) so if you’re interested in watching them I’ll be hosting them at my own youtube account right here:

http://www.youtube.com/user/ITSergioFelix

You can subscribe to the youtube account so you don’t miss any of those updates.

For the pictures, I have uploaded most of them to my personal marketing facebook profile which is:

I don’t accept just anyone, if you really seem like you’re into Internet Marketing of some sort, then chances are I’ll accept you so don’t fret.

The Power Of Writing Things Down

I told you I was going to Las Vegas not long ago and I didn’t even had the money for it.

You can read more about that here.

Then I also wrote a very long post about the trip before actually taking it here.

You’ll see that the trip was already booked before having the full amount of money needed for it (crazy right?) and if I am in debt right now, is because I spent way more than I had but that’s okay as it was always planned to be that way.

So what’s the power of writing things down? You can’t fail if you do it right.

Obviously, keep it real but seriously, magic can happen when you write things down.

In my case, it’s something like this (so far):

  • Book Las Vegas trip
  • Get the money for it
  • Come back engaged
  • Move out in the next 30 days
  • Finally sell my car
  • Hustle from September to December
  • Move out to a calmer city on January

There’s a few more things planned but I’m starting to love keeping things simple so right now I’m supposed to move out in the upcoming days of this month.

I already have the phone numbers to call and ask for prices and the next thing is selling my car.

Following that, is going to create my own room specific for magic creation (aka. product creation).

Conclusion

I don’t know if I’m finally on the right track but that’s exactly how it feels.

I feel confident but not cocky, newbie but not naive, smart but feet on the ground and I’m certainly feeling way different than before.

  • Was it Vegas?
  • Was it getting engaged?
  • Is it two years of studying Internet Marketing day in and day out?
  • Maybe all the sleepless nights?

Honestly… I don’t know nor do I care.

I just know it has been one hell of a journey so far and I’m so grateful that the people that come by and visit this place believe in me.

And for that I want to THANK YOU!

Sergio

PPS. This trip wouldn’t have been possible (at all) without my girlfriend’s help and never ending support.

Wish you all the best that life has to offer.

P.S. Did you ask her to hold your Bud Light while you proposed? haha

Hey John, thank you for the kind comment man!

And no, that Bud Light was all hers. We were playing roulette at the moment and out of nowhere I gave some girl my camera and then proposed to my girl, so yeah Bud Light had some free advertising right there lol

Hey Tim, thank you for stopping by and your kind comment.

I have a lot of video footage from Las Vegas and from another trip I did to England, Spain and France last year and I actually have decided to release most of it on YouTube.

I’ll write a post about it since it’s a great idea that’ll kickstart a product I have been planning for ages to create.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by and looking forward to hear your feedback Tim, have a great weekend! ;-)

    Hi Sergio,

As you say money can’t buy smiles, and when you’re happy inside this will come across in the products that you’re going to create.

The one thing that I did pick up from reading “Think & Grow Rich” was to prepare yourself for a time in life when the things you try will just work because it’s the right product at the right time. Maybe it’s time you start selling some of your information?

An engagement firesale sounds like a good idea.

You know what… incredible as it may sound I still haven’t read that book yet. I already have it on my kindle though and that definitely sounds like my current situation.

About the engagement firesale that’s a BRILLIANT idea man, I can even picture the sales page already.

      Thank you Andrew!

PS. I also received that Frank Kern’s e-mail and though it was really cool information.

    Hi Sergio,

Congratulations. Engaged in Vegas, that’s awesome.

I was first thinking about the movie The Hangover, but I guess your trip was nothing like that :)

I can’t wait to watch your videos. The pictures looks great.

Haha I was thinking about that movie as well when I first got there but to my amusement I kept waking up on my bed at my hotel so I guess it wasn’t THAT wild.

There are some really cool videos and I think I’m going to write a post about Vegas for first visitors as this may really help others.

Thanks for stopping by and your great comment Jens, have an awesome day! ;-)

    First off, Congrats, Sergio.

It has been some time since I stopped by here (blame my G reader – it doesn’t update your feed, I had found out but no way to fix it and had put it off until now). Anyways, I am back (I think you should look at your feed perhaps, do you use feedburner?)

Well, I didn’t watch the video (sorry!), but I read what you wrote.

    Great man!

    Just awesome!

You are right. Success isn’t about having lots of money. It is about doing stuff that makes you happy, stuff that you enjoy.

Loved your gut and confidence to take the trip even when you know you didn’t have the money (That’s great courage. After all, life is not all about money, is it?). We will live, no matter what. Don’t worry, because there are solutions to all problems, that we personally face. We can solve them!

Also agree with your points on trusting our gut and trying not to please everyone – we can’t please everyone.

And of course, Life isn’t about pleasing others – It is about pleasing ourself!

Thank you for the inspiring post, Sergio!

Good luck with your life ;)

Hey Jeevan, I’m glad you’ve found this post inspiring man and I also think it all comes down to being ourselves and follow our instincts.

If you do stuff to please others then there’s nothing to gain from that in the end.

About your Google reader, I went a little crazy over the weekend and decided to delete my RSS feed since it was taking a lot of precious time as I kept looking at the number of subscribers and I wanted to free myself from that.

I will see what can I do in the next days, thanks for stopping by man, really appreciate it! ;-)
